General Information
CLIMCO®123 is an excellent rheologymodifier, alkali-swellable anionic acrylic polymer emulsion, lightlycrosslinked. It provides the convenience of a liquid while delivering uniquebenefits to surfactant-based cleansing products. It is designed to impart efficientsuspending and stabilizing, as well as thickening properties in a formulationwhich contains high level of surfactants. It is able to produce very clearformulations containing high level of surfactants. It works synergisticallywith surfactants and salt resulting in efficient suspending, stabilizing, andthickening property. It allows for suspending, stabilization, and thickening oflow pH systems, insoluble and difficult-to stabilize ingredients such assilicones can be co-emulsified and stabilized. It also has the remarkableability to enhance the pearlescent appearance of surfactant formulations. Itcan be widely used in personal cleansing products.

Formula guidelines
The minimum recommended dosage of CLIMCO®123polymer in surfactant-based products is 5.0% as supplied (1.5% active). Thedosage depends on the amount of surfactant and salt for additional thickening.If the formulation hasn’t salt or has low surfactant actives, typical dosage is8-10% as supplied (2.4-3.0% active).
