Product Description
CLIMCO 176 lubricants are used asbase stocks for spin finish lubricants for man-made fiber production. The widerange of physical properties available gives the formulator of spin finishesfreedom to choose the right lubricant for a given application.
Product Properties
CLIMCO 176 offers the followingcombination of properties:
l Fullywater-soluble
l Itexhibits a cloud point. It is soluble in cold water but will separate out athigh temperature.
l Lowto high viscosity range
l Easeof application at controlled rates, due to carefully controlled viscosity andthe wide solubility parameters – including water solubility
l Favorablecombination of frictional properties for high processing speeds and stablepackage winds
l Cleanburn-off, resulting in low accumulation on heater surfaces
l Itis hygroscopic, helping to control static and lessen the severity of antistatrequirements
l Controlof polymer penetration due to the wide range of molecular weights andsolubilities available
l Easeof removal of water-soluble UCON fluids in aqueous scouring; reducing finishassociated dying problems
l Thefinish formulator can use CLIMCO 176 to achieve an optimum balance ofproperties to meet downstream requirements in drawing, texturing fabricationand wet processing.
Product Applications
It can be used as brightener and lightener for cream and lotionessence. It can also be used in styling and hair care products.
